2020 WR position

The WR core hasn't looked better since 2013 with Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey were the one-two punch, even so this position can get better and should. Allen Robinson is the X receiver no doubt but the Y should be battled between Anthony Miller and either Javon Wims or Riley Ridley, then there is the slight issue at the speed department. With Taylor Gabriel gone, there is a lack of speed to make secondarys cover deep. Cordarrelle Patterson could maybe help but hasn't been that deep threat in his career, not constantly. Tarik Cohen is the other that can help and has had some good deep catches but he would need to get better at route running and then there is the size thing. There is size on this team with Robinson, Wims and Patterson but Mitchell Trubisky doesn't really take advantage of this, when throwing deep he doesn't throw consistent 50/50 balls to his receivers, usually they are 1 step ahead of the receiver, maybe a speedster can help him get better at the deep ball but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get better with his accuracy, he needs to get reps with these guys until his arm drops off. Still speed is the name of the game lately and a name really doesn't ring when watching the list of WR free agents, the only one I know that was drafted because of his deep threat ability was Breshad Perriman, he is still young and can maybe get better as a player and has the measurements not expected from a speedster.
Losing Gabriel isn't a big hit, I believe his drops and injuries took a toll in the decision to let him go but now Ryan Pace has to find new legs that can beat coverage and call the attention of the safeties to to help the others exploit one on ones.
